Good vibrations

Well, this will probably get this site blocked in high schools, result in unwanted traffic from google searchers and provide a significant test of the WordPress 2.0 comment spam trapping… But this is just too good, funny and darn it important to pass up:

Universal Rights

The Republicans are perilously close to asserting that health care is a universal, inalienable human right, part and parcel of the Right to Life. Perhaps we should take them up on that.

Hogwarts headache

Heavy Reading

This alliterative affliction is named after the wizarding school in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, and is suffered by children embarking on marathon reading sessions of the 870-page “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” Reports of Hogwarts headaches circulated wildly on the Internet, and no doubt prompted some parents, already worried [...]

Yerba mate

My heart (and my lungs) Sing

In this last week my lungs have cleared up. My singing voice doesn’t sound any worse than usual and I have a lot more breathe control. I also have more physical engery and can walk distances without being out of breath.

Every day in every way I am getting better and better…

My head is much clearer already and I feel more energetic. Getting out to movies and shopping. Going up to Madison to see mom for Mom’s Day next weekend and Boone the week after that.

Blastoff!

So it’s Friday, over a week from the last interferon shot and my first day without Ribiviron. My PA says it will take up to 6 weeks for my hemoglobin to recover, but I should see immediate effects and steady improvement. I already feel a whole lot clearer mentally.

Final countdown

Last injection today, then a final week of Ribiviron. I am trying now to damp my expectations. Much depends on how fast my hemoglobin recovers. I will need to build up my muscles again and lose some weight.

Countdown

2 more weeks starting today!
